Delta Air Lines has extended the suspension of its flights between cities in the US and Israel by another month, through October 31, citing “the evolving security environment” as the war on Gaza grinds on.

The announcement came after copyright also extended the suspension of its flights between the US and Israel’s Tel Aviv through March 29 of next year.

Both airlines said customers with tickets on flights that will now be cancelled can rebook, generally at no extra charge, or cancel their trip and get a refund.
UKMTO reports multiple explosions near ship off Yemen’s Aden

The UK’s maritime agency (UKMTO) said that the master of a ship sailing off the coast of Yemen has reported five separate explosions in the waters near their vessel, about 57 nautical miles (106km) south of the city of Aden.

No damage or injuries were reported
The agency added that a Greek-flagged tanker was currently adrift in the Red Sea after multiple attacks earlier on Wednesday triggered a fire on board and caused the ship to lose power.

There was no immediate comment from Yemen’s Houthis.

The rebel group has attacked more than 70 ships in the Red Sea since Israel’s war on Gaza began, killing at least four sailors and sinking two ships. They say their campaign will stop when Israel ends its war.

The Lebanese armed group said it launched a salvo of Katyusha rockets at Israeli military barracks in the Ramot Naftali area in northern Israel and on artillery sites in Zaura in the occupied Golan Heights.

Both of the attacks, carried out on Wednesday night, achieved a “direct hit”, it said.
Death toll rises from Israeli attack on Beit Lahiya

The Wafa news agency is reporting that 11 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli attack on the Hamouda family home in Beit Lahiya.

Most of the victims were women and children, it said, citing medical sources. Their charred bodies were taken to the Kamal Adwan Hospital.

Israeli attack kills mother and child in Khan Younis

Al Jazeera Arabic’s correspondent in Gaza is reporting that Israeli forces have bombed the home of the Abu Daqqa family in southern Khan Younis, killing a mother and child.

AJA also reported that a number of other Palestinians were also killed and wounded in an Israeli attack on an apartment in Tall az-Zaatar in the northern Jabalia refugee camp.
Rashida Tlaib says Palestinians ‘deserve to be heard’ at DNC

The Palestinian-American member of Congress made the remark amid reports that families of Israeli captives would be addressing the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago from its main stage.

“Why are you saying that Israeli children are more valuable than Palestinian children? Where is our shared humanity?” Tlaib, a Democrat, wrote in a post tagging the DNC.

“Stop erasing Palestinians. We exist. We deserve to be heard

Tlaib was quoting a post from the Uncommitted National Movement, which said it had learned that the families of Israeli captives will be speaking at the DNC.

“We strongly support that decision and also strongly hope that we will also be hearing from Palestinians who’ve endured the largest civilian death toll since 1948,” the movement said.
